Well, I was never called a Nazi, but when my son was boots-on-the-ground in Ramadi, Iraq with the USMC, and I commented about fearing for his safety, my family member (no longer “dear”) went off on me about how Bush lied, etc., etc. at great length.
She’s now working on a “RESIST” quilt, if that tells you anything.
I quilt too. I was actually banned from a facebook quilting group that I had been an active member of for years, OVER IMMIGRATION. The group was ostensibly non-political, but apparently there is only one correct reaction to highly politicized and massively ugly quilts made from the discard clothing and other garbage strewn across the Arizona immigrant trails. Needless to say, I did not react in the “acceptable” way.
I am getting really tired of this.
