The Left's approach to virtually every issue involves some aspect of Misdirection: Familiar Leftist Tactic.

What you are suggesting here is a compounding of the tactic, in the sense that focusing on a soap opera argument to distract from the critical need to secure our Southern border, is also useful to cover up top down corruption at the FBI. I believe the dual purpose is indeed involved.

Your approach is certainly better than ever debating in terms of the faux issues they raise in an effort to distract attention from the real issues--here the effect of their neglect of duty--neglect of their sworn oaths, to secure our heritage.
