There are software companies in Idaho?
For that matter, I think Salt Lake City and Provo, UT, are as well.
They ought to fire all the H1-B's on 1 day's notice, and make every executive of every publically traded company who ever hired an H1-B, personally liable for triple damages to every US citizen who ever applied for a software job, or had to settle for far less pay.
Just confiscate all the wealth of Silicon Valley and Seattle, that'd be a good start.
Cause as Carly Fiorina said, "No American has a right to a job."
Must be her reasoning for becoming Ted Cruz's running mate against Trump.
His friend in Idaho doesn’t count as “unemployed”. He “gave up” you see.......Nobody asked him if he gave up but the government claims he did.
He didn’t magically forget everything. We haven’t had some sea change in technology. I’m sure he could do that job for a company that would care to hire him, but lots of companies will have to get really desperate before they do since he was unfortunate enough to be unemployed for a long time during the horrible Obama economy.
Yes, and Boise, Idaho, is home of Micron, one of three DRAM chip makers.
From an article, "The company generated $20 billion in revenue last year, putting it among the worlds five largest semiconductor companies, ahead of better known companies like Nvidia and Texas Instruments."

Another: "Boise is the fastest-growing area in the U.S., Forbes says. And it will keep growing."

If he's really that good he can get hired by a defense contractor and work remotely from the house. How hard is he really looking?
That can be part of the problem.
You can be brilliant in your field but if you are not where they are hiring you will not be able to get a job.
