I suspect that Kim was collaborating with them as part of the post election coup attempt to oust Trump which explains the missile and bomb demonstrations.

I suspect Trump gave Kim the dictator equivalent of an plea deal with full immunity for any disclosures Kim makes about who he has been colluding with
