Sure there has....Elizabeth Warren. The US Senate is one house of Congress.
Wow - the likeness is so remarkable.
No, but there have been 11 males.
She speakum same old heap big liberal BS.
In the only diversity that really matters, ideological diversity, she is as ordinary and boring as dirt.
There was an Indian vice president, Charles Curtis of KS, from 1929 to 1933; he was replaced by John Nance Garner of Uvalde, TX.
Why, they could be sisters.
Great.
Another racist.
I have been to Reservations. How can any so called Native American vote Democrat? I guess the reservation is just like the urban ghetto of guaranteed loyalty to the DNC and a life of despair.
Free candy and alcohol for a vote.
Haaland is such an Indian name.
***Deb Haaland is one step closer to becoming the first Native American congresswoman in U.S. history.***
Native American Woman, not the first Native American in government.
The Vice President of the USA who was a KAW Indian.

Uncanny, they could be identical twins.
Ok - I get that all Native Americans (Indians) were made citizens some time back. What I don’t get is that now they are citizens why do we continue to treat them as separate nations that require treaties and do not have to follow local State laws.
It would seem to me that if they are citizens then by definition they should fall under the same requirements as everyone else in the state. Do away with the reservations. Transfer the property as private property to those currently living on the properties. If someone wants to continue in that vain fine - keep the community as they see fit.
Just doesn’t make sense to me.
