More than 500 positions are up for grabs at Amazon's fulfillment center in Hebron.
The company is inviting candidates to its summer hiring kick-off party on Friday, June 1.
The jobs are full-time and permanent, though the company said part-time positions are also available. Candidates can also apply online at www.amazon.com/hebronjobs.
Employees at the fulfillment center help pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
The kick-off event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Erlanger (1717 Airport Exchange Blvd.).
In addition to hourly wages, Amazon provides employees with a highly competitive, comprehensive benefits package starting on day one including healthcare, disability insurance, 401(k) with 50 percent match, company stock, bonuses and a network of support to help employees succeed.
The company also offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave, a flexible Ramp Back Program and the innovative Leave Share Program that allows employees the ability to share their paid leave with their spouse or partner.
In addition, Amazon offers hourly employees innovative programs like Career Choice, where the company will pre-pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields, regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon. Since the programs launch, more than 12,000 employees have pursued their passion with career re-training in nursing, IT programming, accounting, engineering and radiology, to name a few.
Amazon hiring in Hebron?! Are they risking another Intifada? How will Hamas react? (HamAss upset Amazon trying to escape Seattlestan)
This is likely due to 110% turnover.
They settled across the river from Cincinnati because well.... figure it out.
McConnell.
Because...the airport.
Where were the jobs Obama said will never come back? I think Trump created more jobs than Obama did in 8 years... (tax cuts will always help employment)
Well, let’s see the hiring isn’t actually done by Amazon but through Integrity Services. Integrity Services then provides workers to Amazon which then lets most of them go before the next big shipping season coming up to say they are once again hiring x hundreds of people. Its cheap pay for arduous work. A worker has a fifteen-minute break. This includes the time to and from the work area. So if it takes you 7.5 minutes to get to the break area, you literally walk to the break area and have to turn around with no actual break. You are not allowed to have food on the wh floor except a few snacks here and there. That fifteen-minutes is fifteen-minutes down to the second. In Indiana last winter, they had no heat in their plant during December and required workers to continue as if there was. This went on for almost a month until one of the local stations got the word and brought the story to the public. Amazon Fulfillment centers are the American version of the foreign sweatshop concept and good reason for the high turnover.
