If you’ve not heard of him prior I recommend you look at some of his works on Youtube. He also has a book, “Enemy of the State”. His speaking at Oxford University gained him a lot of respect by those that thought he was just a street thug.
He founded the English Defense League but left the movement after some skinhead types started taking control. So he’s been smeared with the “racist” label but is clearly not. His issue is the teachings and ideas of Islam and how it allows for abusing non-Muslims.
He has been assaulted, harassed by the police, lost his home, been imprisoned for technicalities, almost murdered while in jail (which was probably the point), etc.. By any normal standard a person would have quit. His family have been victim to violence and rape by these people since he was young, so he does not quit.
Arresting him here was a massive mistake. It was a sham conviction. Without a jury. He was convicted of not what he was arrested for. Putting the gag order on his arrest, given that he has a following and was live streaming, was a mistake of gargantuan proportions. If anything happens to him...
