No. Reagan was hated by some parts of the GOP, and had to work hard to bring it together (Saddling us with the Bush family at the top of the ticket); Trump has parts of the GOP actively trying to ruin him and/or remove him from office, and the rest of it saying nothing. He’s on his own. Reagan at least had some party support.
The real question is this: Were there any available between Reagan and Trump? Names please. Why didn’t they rise?
