Citibank and Barclay Credit Cards can be denied based on systems issues. Barclay readily acknowledges they have an issue but it took over 20 minutes on the phone with Citibank for them to get their administration to acknowledge they have an issue.
In my specific case I was trying to buy an airline ticket but it kept getting a system error. Calls to the CC company did not fix the problem, however it was nice to find out it was their issue.
It seem strange that both Citi and Barclay would have the same issue at the same time. Looks like potential hackers to me.
Dunkin said their MC card approval is down.
Just completed a USAA transaction that seems to be normal. Hopefully the shenanigans will be brought under control quickly.
My USAA is not MC.
Both mine are also MC. I might need to dust off a Visa.
It’s Master Card only on the First Data NORTH platform, won’t affect everyone.
As long as I get my airmiles.

I don’t carry a CC anymore and am not a big debit card user most of the time.
I haven’t had a Dunkin Donuts donut in a long time, do they still have an assortment of varieties? As I get older, it seems sweet treats just don’t seem to appeal as much...
They probably are testing their “deny transactions for conservatives” program and accidentally deployed it on production systems.

I think SNAFU or FUBAR would have properly defined this event.
But I was taught in CGSC to be less caustic. For example the term “Bullshit” was changed “Amazing”
Anyway, the problem has been fixed, and my card was approved, flight booked.
