For the residents of La Lomita, President Donald Trumps proposed border wall is already here.
At first glance, this lower-middle class neighborhood is a standard Texan suburban enclave: residents grill chicken on their front patios while their children shoot hoops in the driveways; spoiled pet chihuahuas nap under the parked Jeeps on the curb to keep out of the withering heat. But for the past several years, its backyards have been intersected by a stark twenty-foot-high steel fence, something not too far off from what the president has pledged to build along the border with Mexico
Residents have learned to live with it. When the trucks and helicopters of the Border Patrol descend on the neighborhood to capture immigrants who have made it over the fence, most just shut their doors and carry on with their business....

Do they keep a mosseburg 500 close while they are grilling?
Apparently they can climb that kind rather easily.
It’s good to see you again, 2DV.
Gotta love the Moss 500 - I haven’t shot mine yet but it went on sale and I was in the store (Black Friday) for something else a few years ago.
Been looking at them for 4-6 months; almost paid about $30 more because I wanted to get it done.
Mine are old. The 20ga goes back to the 70s the 12 goes back to the 90s. I got short (18) barrels for both recently for about $90 a piece. A great reliable machine. Cop shops been using them for years along with the Rem 870s. Enjoy. 4buck is good for defense at home. Be safe.

Looks good to me. It slows them down at the very least. Youre not going to get a thousand at a time rushing through. Tunneling takes even more effort and time. The wall is a tool for the Border Patrol. Thats how we have to think about it, not like its an impenetrable force field.
I have a real problem with some of these people they talked to.
One woman said she came into her living room and a woman with muddy feet was watching TV with her young child. Another said they let a young 22 year old man hide out in their garage because he looked so scared.
Are these people idiots? What would you do if you found a total stranger lounging in your living room with your young child? How many tattoos did the young man have hiding in her garage, and what if he decided the best way to start his life in the US was to take your stuff and your life, because that has happened several times before?
When the guy mowing the Texas border please mow Arizona when he’s through. :o)
I’m gonna guess they left out the part about being “paid” by these illegals.
That wall (fence) was built during the first round of border fencing that was approved.
No. This tells us little.
This town (in America) is either Mexican or American.
I've poked around the border long enough to know there are entire communities without any Americans or white people in them. Those areas are effectively Mexico.

You are correct sir!
> Gotta love the Moss 500
I own 2 visually identical Mossburg 500s, one purchased in 1975 at a garage sale for $75 and a second one purchased in 1980, also at a garage sale for $100.
According to the serial numbers, they were manufactured 10 years apart.
The newer one will bruise my shoulder with every shot; the older one has less kick that my Ruger 10/22. The only physical difference that I can see is the color of the wood stock. The one with the darker wood kicks and the one with the lighter color wood does not.
I do like these shotguns and would not trade them for anything.
That is not Trump’s border wall. It looks like a decent “repair” of an existing wall.
You don’t have to poke around do the border c entire towns in LA are the same. Spent 3 days in Realto this winter in East Los Angeles and saw one other caucasion, he was visiting too.
Wallmart, grocery stores, you name it. It looks like America, just no Americans.
