For a .380, I'll stick with my S&W Bodyguard .380... My wife carries this and loves it. My concealed has been the Glock 43 in 9mm, but Im looking at some other options at the moment.

There are some very fine cartridges in .380 available that will enhance the viability of that caliber as a defensive round. The ones I use I think are 95 gr. Talons. I have others that sport trocar points. Very nasty.

My sister-in-law bought one of these and was talking about the laser and I pointed out to her, practice using it without the laser and she said why? I replied if you have to pull the weapon on a hobgoblin he or she is not going to wait for you to run the laser on more than likely. Yeah use it in target practice but practice more not using it.

Get her a S&W model 36 in steel or a Colt Det. Special if you can find one. You get an extra round with the Colt. These are heavier but will absorb the recoil better than the aluminum frame J’s.
I sometimes carry a S&W 642 and the recoil is there but controllable for me. My go to pocket pistol is a Kel-Tec P32 I carry in condition one and in a pocket holster. I carry it 90% of the time.

S&W had years to get it right and they screwed it up with a hard switch on the LASER...

Mrs. L is quite partial to her (formerly mine) CZ-82. 12 rounds of 9mm Mak in a reliable easy to shoot gun. Less than $200 delivered.

Agree! I saw the laser as more bulk and weight, just what I didn’t want in a pocket .380. If it’s convenient to carry, a person will carry more often. It’s a good thing!

It can be conceivable that it is concealable.

There are some nice aftermarket grip makers for the mak. I prefer the red Half-Life grips myself.
