Junkies have been filmed openly shooting up in a San Francisco subway station amid piles of vomit and unconscious bodies.
Commuter Shannon Gafford recorded the disturbing video at the Civic Center BART station, saying he sees the same thing every day.
BART managers point to a national homeless and opiate crises as the cause of the problem, saying they are simply 'overwhelmed' by the amount of drug use.

That is a major station of the Bay Area BART system in downtown SF. I took the BART sometimes when I lived in the East Bay 10 years ago and yeah the SF stations smelled but one did not have to run a gauntlet of homeless junkies.

Its got to be better than the sight of bums openly taking dumps on the sidewalk.

At this point there seems to be little difference between San Francisco and Hell.

The pictured mayor of San Francisco is a dead ringer for Boston’s Marty Walsh.

Is this shown or reported on in any local news?
Bay Area News Group (Merc et al)? No
SF Chronicle? No
KTVU? No
KCBS? No
Why do you have to read a UK website to see what's going on in San Francisco?
It's like there is an active conspiracy to avoid mentioning how bad it is.

Are you sure it’s the BART system and not the BARF system? Sure looks like it to me. Dumb question: where the heck are the police, as this is clearly a threat to public safety? SF is kindly providing the world with a perfect example of libtardism. Looks like they need Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte in charge there.

San Francisco, 1878, by Eduard Muybridge. No junkies (at least outside Chinatown), no bums, no excrement (except horse), no trash or litter, no graffiti. Buildings all well maintained and painted. You just had to avoid getting Shanghaied or mugged. Civic life was actually nice because liberals hadn't fouled everything up for the law abiding populace with their false "compassion." What a sad waste of human life and potential.
Nancy Reagan had it right 30 years ago.

San Fran is a literal scat hole... you cannot walk down the street without dodging human fecal matter....
And no, I’m not engaging in hyperbole...

Yeah, well unless they remove the vermin that are shooting heroin, puking, and crapping all over the city, that isn't doing much but wasting taxpayer dollars. Not like that's anything new in a liberal utopia like San Francisco, of course.

It's all fine to “Just say no” but I saw a show a couple nights ago that said 90% of junkies nowadays got hooked on prescription opioids for pain, then switched to street drugs because they couldn't get prescription drugs and heroin is cheaper than pills on the street. The government response under both parties is to make it harder to get prescription drugs. That will only create more junkies. Addicts would be far better off being able to get pharmaceutical meds, as would society in general. As usual, the war on drugs makes things worse.

It should be used as a Nationwide TV AD encouraging the other 56 States to send ALL Their Junkies,Thugs, and Hookers to California in an effort to clean their States up.

You know your city is a shirthole when the city has to hire people to go pick up used needles and measure how much shirt is on the sidewalks.

It really is. I was shocked at what I saw the last time I was there. So many people just ruining their lives with no future, going deeper and deeper down the same path.
I’ve looked at them and felt sad for the massive underachievement I was witnessing. They have no idea of what they were capable of. I say “were” because the potential they had has now been lost, at least for many but not all.
For those that aren’t aware, what is going on there is shocking. It’s shameful...but then, liberalism.
