Thanks :) Im very proud of him, as I am all my kids. Hes a unique kid-not your typical teenager. Reads Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy for fun and is also the lead singer in rock band that occasionally gets paid to perform. He just got a fairly significant role in the first play he ever auditioned for at a local community theater. Ive wanted to see a play there ever since I moved here over twenty years ago but $20/ticket always seemed like too much for amateur theater. Now I have reason to go!
Its tough to parent someone who is probably more intelligent than I am. Intelligence often comes pride, though, and I pray earnestly for his salvation.
You described my oldest son! He is now grown, married with 3 children. I worried about his salvation as well but since becoming a father, things have changed! He often thanks me for giving him a firm foundation and wants the same for his kids. Alleluia ! So hang in there! This too will pass.
