My wife just said she wished he didn’t tweet.
I explained that he does this because all of the Sunday shows are set up to create a narrative for the rest of the week. They will put out their ‘garbage’ and the President never has a chance to respond.
By tweeting on Sunday morning, ‘the shows’ must report what the President is saying in conjunction with their stories.
Voilà...President Trump, trumps their bogus news with his side. Never having to set foot into their studios, send a surrogate, or help their ratings.

Also explain to your wife that twitter is his laser pointer, and the media are the cats. When Trump wants to quietly do something big that the media would normally go into level 5 hysterics over, he twitters a few unimportant things so the media goes into level 4 hysterics but are distracted from the important thing.
