Let me guess what the federal government will do to me if I don’t pay my taxes; they will attempt a coup against the president I voted for, they will take my taxes and give it to people who don’t work and how are not supposed to be in my country, they will take my children who are in the public schools I pay for and teach them to hate and disrespect both myself and the America I grew up in.

Oh wait, they are already doing that so how much worse could it be if I told them to sod off and kept my money?

As long as we are picking & choosing which laws to obey (illegal aliens/DACA), then I propose we choose to not pay federal taxes (”just trying to help my family with more income”)...then establish “tax sanctuary” cities and states.

Every year at this time I’m reminded that I’m living under a slightly more civilized version of the old USSR. It makes me sick, but I don’t have the intestinal fortitude of our founding fathers.

Generally, most people have sufficient withholding from their wages to pay their taxes and get a refund.

So if they do not file their tax return, they give up their refund after 3 years and pay more taxes.

The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, the 16th re-established it.

Telling someone not to pay their taxes is a felony. I am sure you were being sarcastic.

And 700,000 men died in the Civil War to ensure that an all powerful Central Government can perpetually F it’s citizens at the point of a gun.

I agree.

But it should also be a felony to use my tax dollars to subsidize illegals coming into our country. When illegals commit a felony we all have to pay for them to use our tax system, our jails and our prisons. That adds up to billions of dollars.

Then to add insult to injury the people who encourage illegals to come here, live here, and defraud the system are rewarded with tax breaks for their 'foundations'?

Yep. That’s how I see it. Before the Civil War the us was more like the EU. Not any more. The states are more like counties than sovereign states.

If you know the right questions to ask the IRS, the IRS will leave you alone if you just keep your mouth shut. Most people are no required to file and pay income taxes; especially if your source of money is from an exchange for your labor. Company and stock profits are taxable; mostly.
