My sis and I did that, a fews ago.
We wanted to keep milage off of our own cars, plus....we knew we’d need a good sized vehicle, once we got to our destination (lots of family members). We rented a Chrysler van and loved it.

I usetah drive back and forth to Fl from Ct. (for 15 years).Always rented a carefree mileage,never had the wear and tear on mine. Best way to go
