I USED to use Enterprise and told them about how I felt when I cancelled my corporate account with them. The rep on the phone (all of maybe 25) said "oh yeah we are getting that a lot." And then cancelled my account with no apologies!!
If you booked this far in advance, you probably paid too much anyhow.

If you own your own car, use it. I’m sure you know all the causes you support and that none are in conflict. If you lease, what causes are those payments supporting.
To preserve ones liberty we must not obligate our future to the unknown. Taking on monthly payments is creating an obligation on your future. Many Amish equate this to submitting to the “yoke”.
A six hour drive is probably faster than getting to the airport early and all that entails.
6 hours,why fly to begin with.By the time you drive to the Airport,check in go through security board take off land pick up stuff and rental its probably close to 6 hours any way.
Depending on where your leaving from time of day and route its probably a nice ride and your not exposed to all those germie slim balls cry brats and all else.
Right now gas is relatively cheap too.
