The fact that putting US troops in Yemen under a AUMF that’s 17 years old has nothing to do with Iran acquiring nukes.
A proper use of military force would be regime change in Iran after Congressional approval, or at least a secret strike to eliminate their capability under existing law prior to the 2001 AUMF.
