Open primary state. I voted for the independent in 2014. I will never support this POS, even if I have to vote Dem.

Aw geez, for the umpteenth time South Carolina has an open primary system that allows Democrats to nominate the Republican of their choice. Talk of changing the primary system to allow only registered Republicans to vote is condemned as “racist”.

The main reason is no candidate with state wide name recognition is entered into the primary race. For that, you can thank the SC Republican Party!
