He must be insane to not have read the information from the NRA, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I hope his voters shut him down quickly either by removing him from office tout suit or by impeachment. I wonder who is feeding him the garbage he is repeating...or is it his own?

If that isn't an out-and-out threat to authority I don't know what is. Damn right! You apparently need to read about the history of this country if you think the 2A is about protection of hunters' rights. The Second Amendment is the protector of the people against a tyrannical government.
