So, Mr. President, what's the holdup in fixing the DoJ?
It’s time—in fact, it’s long, past time.
The F.B.I. has been a “Bureau on the Bubble” for, at least, the last two years. The bubble has burst.
The role of those persons in the Department of Justice (DoJ) “Who helped Barack Obama avoid the taint of Chicago corruption?” has been known since June 2016.
We need a special prosecutor. If the Dems win in November then they will cover up the truth.
The DoJ IG has 500 Very Special Agents to come up with these whitewashes?
I suspect he could provide similar performance with 5 Very Special Novelists.
The president needs the support of the Republicans in Congress to clean the DOJ house. The Dems and the media would cry obstruction and want impeachment.
Not much Swamp draining going on. Just saying.
We have to do the swamp draining and give him Republicans who will support MAGA.
Too many Bush League Republicans that want to wait him out so they can sell US out.

Trump could have removed a lot of the Obama appointees who are still in their jobs, obstructing Trump at every turn. At a bare minimum, the upper layers of DOJ and State should have been cleaned out. That alone would have sent a strong message to the rest of the agencies and Trump would have been better off for it.

I have a hard time trying to understand Trump’s reluctance or unwillingness to drain the Swamp. He’s been so successful I hate to second guess him, but one of the things that all incoming (experienced) bosses do is redefine goals, reset expectations, and make personnel changes necessary to facilitate achievement of his/her objectives. Often that means acting quickly to displace the resistors, incompetents, and especially those who would attemtp to undermine the new boss. Removing just one person can send a very loud and unmistakable message. Everyone had better get with the program, leave or be fired.
Moreover, allowing the holdovers to stick around confuses the rank and file and does not motivate them to change their ways.
This precious opportunity to clean the slate seems to have passed by.
If only it were that simple - he needs support instead of foot-dragging compliance...
