At least a tax would be constitutional. A tax was the same approach taken by the 1934 National Firearms Act that regulated machine guns, short barreled rifles and shotguns, silencers, and destructive devices.

An outright ban on semi-automatic guns would be unconstitutional.

And WHOM determines the taxation rate that crossed the Rubicon of ‘infringement’?? The courts, case after case after where the legislature(s)\Fedzilla play ‘keep away’ by tweaking the rate/law every 6mo.??

Was not the $200 ‘stamp’, at the time, wholly out of the realm of most Citizens? A defacto BAN?
