Rhinestone Cowboy has no business in the finals. I'm disgruntled. :(

This is a depressing Final Four.
Joy to the World
“Joy tho the World” is insipid, and only wins because of the borderline blasphemous reference to the Trinity in American Pie.
Rhinestone Cowboy
Rhinestone Cowboy wins because I’ll take country-pop over aver Bee Gees falsetto Disco.

3 1972 American Pie Don McLean - A Rock and Roll Classic for all time!
4 1978 Stayin Alive Bee Gees - For those of us who cringed during the Disco era, this was an exceptional song.

1 1971 Joy to the World Three Dog Night
I think "American Pie" was played way too much after the 70s and lost some of it's 70s association. So "Joy to the World" still brings back memories of the 70s for me.
4 1978 Stayin Alive Bee Gees
"Stayin' Alive" is the perennial 70s song. You just can't get more 70s than the BeeGees.
