I learned a long time ago that you cannot reason with emotion. And the anti-gunners for the most part are not evil, they are reacting out of emotion.
Unless and until they can stop being emotional and start being rational, no argument based on reason will persuade them.
Rational argument: “More people are killed each year by fists and feet than by rifles of all kinds. (Source: FBI Uniform Crime Statistics.)” Emotional response: “Ban AR ‘Assault Rifles.’ They are for the military only.”
Rational argument: “Gun ownership is protected by the Second Amendment of the Constitution.” Emotional response: “Nobody needs guns with 30 round capacity. Ban semi-auto guns and high capacity magazines. Keep your grandpa’s shotgun for hunting.”
You get the idea. You are not persuaded by emotional arguments, and they are not persuaded by rational arguments.
There is armed security everywhere we go,evrywhere.
Its a sign of the times, period.
Accept it.
There is not armed security in Schools.
Why is that?
Is it because school system are infested with touchy feely liberals that think being nice will keep the bad guys away ?
Its time to put armed guards in the schools.

islam had a LOT more to do with 9/11 than guns did with Parkland.
islam was BOTH the reason and the instrumentality of 9/11.
Guns were just the method for Parkland.
Why has the left never called for muslim control?

My reply to gun control is short: Ask the Jews how that worked out for them in Hitler’s Germany.
I’m in San Antonio, which certainly qualifies as a major metropolitan area (we’re the 8th largest city). I have had a discussion with a few cops, including a SWAT officer, and point blank asked them what they’d do if they were ordered to confiscate guns. In so many words, the SWAT officer told me, “Start looking for a new job. I’d quit, because I know that I’d end the night being wheeled out in a zippered bag.” That, and the fact that most of his family (and the families of the other officers) also own guns, and would be subject to confiscation orders even if the cops, themselves, wouldn’t be.
