You’re probably one of those people who would miss the change of the seasons if we didn’t have fall and winter, too. ;^)

OH, YES!!!!!!!!!

I lived for a year in California and it was deadly. There is nothing more exciting than knowing that the leaves will fall and the snow will fill the driveway and then melt and the snowdrops poke up until the grass browns out. I know the seasons cause problems, but they excite me. Maybe it’s remembering the excitement of September meaning getting back to school. I loved that. I never want to be a snowbird and move away from the excitement of change.

I do remember traveling to Big Bear and seeing snow. Just not the same thing as having it come to you. And come to you. And come to you. I was one of those gotten out of their cars in the morning by the National Guard after the Great Blizzard of Boston.

I actually adored living there for the year we were there. We were on a cliff in Palos Verdes, across a flower farm from Marineland. One gets very tired, very quickly of hearing Talk to the Animals ALL DAY!

But I loved LA and the driving and the ocean and the scenery. Brother is still in northern CA and wouldn’t move for the world.

Yep - many in the LSM tried to say Melania and the President were having marital problems when she and Baron stayed in their former digs so he could finish the school year. Can’t blame her for wanting the place cleansed - in more ways than one - and she obviously had a good effect on her hubby; who so many were worried might be an atheist...

Yes. Good example of fake news: whether they had or hadn’t marital problems, this is the newsworthy story that they would not touch, but they would print silly rumors that fit their agenda.

Some sections of scripture are coming into focus...

Tehillim 2

1 Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

7 “I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure

2 Kings 11

1 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal. 2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons that were slain, even him and his nurse, and put them in the bedchamber; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain; 3 And he was with her hid in the house of YHVH six years. And Athaliah reigned over the land.

4 And in the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the captains over hundreds of the Carites and of the guard, and brought them to him into the house of YHVH; and he made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of YHVH, and showed them the king’s son. 5 And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye shall do: a third part of you, that come in on the sabbath, shall be keepers of the watch of the king’s house; 6 And a third part shall be at the gate Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, and be a barrier.

7 And the two companies of you, even all that go forth on the sabbath, shall keep the watch of the house of YHVH about the king. 8 And ye shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and he that cometh within the ranks, let him be slain: and be ye with the king when he goeth out, and when he cometh in. 9 And the captains over hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded; and they took every man his men, those that were to come in on the sabbath, with those that were to go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.

10 And the priest delivered to the captains over hundreds the spears and shields that had been king David’s, which were in the house of YHVH. 11 And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, by the king round about. 12 Then he brought out the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, Long live the king.

13 And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the house of YHVH: 14 and she looked, and, behold, the king stood by the pillar, as the manner was, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason! treason!

15 And Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth between the ranks; and him that followeth her slay with the sword. For the priest said, Let her not be slain in the house of YHVH. 16 So they made way for her; and she went by the way of the horses’ gate to the king’s house: and there was she slain.

17 And Jehoiada made a covenant between YHVH and the king and the people, that they should be YHVH’s people; between the king also and the people. 18 And all the people of the land went to the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of YHVH.

19 And he took the captains over hundreds, and the Carites, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of YHVH, and came by the way of the gate of the guard unto the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings. 20 So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. And Athaliah they had slain with the sword at the king’s house.

***

14 and she looked, and, behold, the king stood by the pillar, as the manner was, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason! treason!

Tanakh is an acronym of the first Hebrew letter of each of the Masoretic Text's three traditional subdivisions: Torah ("Teaching", also known as the Five Books of Moses), Nevi'im ("Prophets") and Ketuvim ("Writings")—hence TaNaKh.

1 and 2 Kings are in the Nevi'im / Prophets section, hmm...

Hillary Maddow Dowd Clinton should be wary...
