FBI Official: Rosenstein Will Be Fired After Memo Released; USED Bogus Dossier for FISA Warrant
True Pundit ^ | 1/29/2018 | Thomas Paine

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein approved an application last year to extend surveillance of former Trump campaign associate Carter Page, a secret Republican memo claims, according to law enforcement sources and news reports.

Rosenstein has been fighting the release of the memo from inside the Justice Department, sources confirm.

According to three people familiar with the memo, the FBI and Justice Department’s (DOJ) application was based partially on research by investigator Christopher Steele, who contributed to a dossier containing unverified claims about President Trump‘s ties to Russia.

He decided to let the public know Kennedy was shot from two directions.
Reagan refused to do that
Trump seems to be big on letting the chips fall.

It doesn’t matter if the memo is released or not. If he did use the dossier for the FISA warrant, he broke the law and shouldn’t be working for the government!! Use him to rat out higher ups...

Rosenstein was a Trump appointee.

Rosenstein is career DOJ, not an appointee.

Here's some real news from earlier today:

“A controversial and classified memo shows that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein okayed an application shortly after taking office last year to monitor a former Trump campaign associate, according to a report.

The Department of Justice under President Trump extended surveillance on Carter Page, believing that he was acting as a Russian agent, the New York Times reported late Sunday, citing people familiar with the memo’s contents.

The document faulted the FBI and the DOJ for failing to completely explain to the intelligence court judge in seeking the warrant that they were relying on information supplied by Christopher Steele, who compiled the disputed dossier that contains unsubstantiated claims about Trump’s ties to Russia, the newspaper said.”

Seems very likely that this kind of behavior can get you fired.

They know who was in it, and saw this possibility, their plan was to create enough diversion and confusion to overcome
an investigation, now that dam is breaking, will they be so low as to start a military conflict with the people to save themselves as the backup plan..the obvious answer is Yes, Benghazi etc...
2 or 3 levels of all gangstamint intelligence agencies should be wiped cleaner than Hillary Clinton’s emails, the rest should be given the lie detector test.
reform it totally or disband it as a threat to our country

Well, what about the status of the Federal who approved these FISA warrants?

Is this network of schemers going fall on their swords one by one or get booted in mass?

Why would it take this long? The time to do it has come and gone. They're waiting it out and hoping we all move on. There is something about that memo that is too dangerous for them to let us know, perhaps.

Friday, Pete King said that Nunes was taking the extra time to put together the supporting evidence that will be added to the release.

The vote is at 5pm today.

Nunes has come too far with all of this not to release the memo.

And Trump wants it released.

If Rosenstein was in on the Clinton conspiracy and knew the dossier was bogus, but hid that information so he could appoint Robert Mueller, and has served as Mueller's "oversight" to the Russian investigation that means...that the person responsible for appointing Mueller was part of a criminal conspiracy against the target of the investigation.

Yes, indeedy.

And another thing: Do you remember when Rosenstein was being questioned by Congress, and was asked if the FBI was involved in paying for the GPS dossier? He replied he thought he knew the answer, but couldn't (or wouldn't) reply in that setting. Remember that one?

And keep in mind it is with absolute certitude that this illegal surveillance "unmasked" literally dozens of Jane & Joe Q. Public ... This is where the case is made for treason on the part of the principal state actors who pressed forward with this ...

As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley has primary oversight of the FBI and Justice Department.

Senator Grassley's determined and methodical more than two year oversight investigation into the DOJ and FBI, from late December, 2015 to presently .......... has been brilliant and morally strong.

Where on the timeline and the pyramid of blame does John McCain sit? Why, and by who, was he solicited to send a trusted aide to England, ostensibly to pick up the dossier, bring it back, and after “discovering” its “awful” contents, pretend to give it to the FBI for the first time? Especially if the FBI was involved in paying for it in the first place?

I don’t agree that releasing the memo is a given. So far 4 Rs on the committee are non-committal.

That, to me, is par.

Also, Gowdy is said to be unsure now.

Won’t know until this thing actually happens. The memo is taking a lot of fire, which indicates it is probably the right stuff, but we won’t know until we know.

Nothing is a given anymore.
