"Our number one goal was to preserve life, not to overreact....There was no overreach in the federal government's response to this occupation."

Acting US Attorney In Oregon Billy Williams comments on first Oregon Standoff trial, he is now nominated by President Trump to be permanent US Attorney there (Maxine Bernstein "Oregon Live" 10/30/2016)

"....our family has filed this wrongful death (lawsuit) for justice and accountability for my husband, LaVoy Finicum. We want to see justice in his name for the murder that they have committed."

Jeanette Finicum speaks with Bryan Hyde 1/26/2018

"The knowingly, willful misconduct by the BLM as well as the AUSA in Nevada regarding anything Bundy related or associated raises huge concerns and red flags as to the potential actions of the BLM, AUSA and other agencies in the Oregon case."

Oregon Standoff defendant Jason Patrick's motion for discovery evidence from Bunkerville case

Jeanette Finicum spoke with Bryan Hyde of "Who's Next" yesterday after a lawsuit was filed in federal court in Oregon over the murder of her husband LaVoy Finicum January 26, 2016.

She said:

"all of us should want to hold our government accountable for the wrongdoing because it is not just our family that if affected, it is everyone that will be affected sooner or later. We need to put them back in their rightful boundaries. We need to hold them accountable for the bad actors that they hire and encourage them to rehabilitate them or fire them...."

Named in the suit among others are the former FBI special agent in charge in Portland, Greg Bretzing, the FBI Hostage Rescue Team agent W. Joseph Astarita, the unnamed officer/officers of the Oregon State Police who fire the fatal shots (their name/names remain an official secret), Oregon Governor Kate Brown, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, former Democrat leader Harry Reid of Nevada, Harney County, Oregon Sheriff Dave Ward and Harney County Commissioner Steven Grasty.

The lawsuit says among other things:

"These defendants were mentally predisposed and committed to using excessive lethal force to solve a political dispute. The result has been both haunting and tragic."

"On January 26, 2016 at approximately 4:40 p.m., decedent Robert LaVoy Finicum was fatally shot three times in the back, assassination style, by one or more militarized officers of the Oregon State Police and/or FBI."

"it has also been uncovered that the above-captioned defendants participated directly with and/or willfully aided and abetted a pattern of widespread and systematic corruption within portions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI"), the Department of the Interior, Office of Law Enforcement and Security ("OLES"); and the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management ("BLM"), where state and federal employees engaged in the intentional premeditated targeting of LaVoy Finicum and others (as described in more detail below) because of 1) his association with Cliven Bundy and Bundy family members 2) his membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and 3) his political views and statements regarding land rights and federal government overreach-specifically his consistent political activism and statements that were critical of the BLM."

Kieran Suckling of the Center for Biological Diversity is angered by the the suit that includes his organization. Suckling told "OregonLive" his group intends to seek dismissal of the case against it calling it an attack on "free speech".

Portland Attorney Lisa Ludwig, who was involved in the Oregon Standoff trials including standby counsel for Ryan Bundy who defended himself, is joining J. Morgan Philpot, who represented Ammon Bundy in the Bunkerville case, in the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Jason Patrick, who faces sentencing next month in the second rigged Oregon Standoff trial, has filed a motion for a new trial citing the evidence withheld in the Bunkerville case. His standby attorney, Andrew Kohlmetz, assisted him in the filing.

The Wooten memo about the Nevada case (Bunkerville Standoff), which I referenced in my Friday 1/26/2018 post, is cited here as providing evidence as to the hostile intent in the Oregon "felony traffic stop" operation that killed LaVoy Finicum and injured Ryan Bundy.

A convicted Oregon defendant facing sentencing next month wants a new trial citing what we now know in connection with Bunkerville Standoff.

I don’t know the answer to that but the story is that LaVoy carried a pistol in his pocket according the law enforcement.

The others carried no firearms in the two vehicles the protestors were riding in but the FBI informant driver of the other vehicle, Mark McConnell, did carry a pistol on him.

Ammon Bundy was in that vehicle and he never carried a firearm during the protest.

The lawsuit details out the notion that this was a peaceful protest as it was intended by its leader, Ammon Bundy.

What others chose to do at the protest who showed up claiming to be supporters or friends (at least 15 FBI informants among them) involved their issues and or agendas.
