What sticks out to me are the votes given for each party in the 2016 Georgia Primaries:

Democrat: 765,366
Republican: 1,295,964

There are many more republicans in the state. The issue is really all about a strong turnout. Sadly, there has to be some real excitement in order to energize the good guys.

Karen Handel willing GA-06 is a good sign.

Immigrants, Yankees, and blacks migrating back from the North.

Yep. I was shocked to learn Georgia is 10% Hispanic. It won’t be long now. The entire atlantic seaboard from NC to FL is in danger of turning blue, IMO.

While the Atlanta metro will pull the Party lever, the rest of the state will not.

Savannah, too. That place is getting more “cosmopolitan” all the time. New jobs and new build housing changes an area very rapidly these days.

2016, the rest of Michigan beat Detroit. It takes a lot, but it’s possible. Just have to convince the resistant idiots to actually go and vote in greater numbers than vote fraud can produce.

And this is why the #1 goal of Democrats is to get blacks all wee wee’d up for 2020 by painting Trump as a racist. If there is a strong black turnout in the “rust belt” it will be much tougher for POTUS to win no matter how well the economy is doing.

Just as all the liberals abandon and flee the liberal wasteland cities they come from and helped establish, only to begin their destruction in the next place they move to.

Agree. I've been saying that for years. Liberals fleeing NY, NJ, etc have just about ruined Florida and haven't helped GA either. We have more than enough home grown a$$hole liberals without importing any.

We need to stop chain migration from NY, NJ, MD, etc. into the south.

LOL! Jimmie Carter’s grandson we’re going to flip Georgia with Doug Bernardards granddaughter. Then in Atlanta we had a Ron Johnson aid who was going to beat Handel. Well here we are again. Ok Charlie Brown, I’ll hold the football.

The Yankees I know are all conservatives who came here to be with like minded folk

The fact that Handlel won the sixth suggests that the dems are not in as good a shape as they like to pretend

Sam Nunns daughter couldn’t win and that says a lot

“Were it not for ~1,000 “magic ballots” arriving late-night from DeKalb county, Atlanta might have had a fairly light-blue mayor. Instead, ATL got Bottoms and all her politics.”

There was no way a white was going to become mayor of ATL. No way.

South Carolina is experiencing the same slow but steady demographic shift. Look for Mick Mulvaney’s old congressional seat (Rock Hill) to be competitive for the Democrats as Charlotte spills over the border.

As the marijuana preaching and popularity continues to expand, all states will turn blue.

""So what states are likely remain conservative in the US?"

Maybe Mississippi and Wyoming. As long as least 50% of the population depends on entitlements, the steady march towards socialism will be hard to defeat.

Yea GA is turning blue... and Hillary is winning it

Rolling eyes.

Atlanta is blue.. the rest of the state? Not a chance.

Trump performing on the economy actually has him at higher support among blacks than any national republicans in generations.

If he can leverage that in the 18 elections a lot of surprises are coming

If we let the Democrats and Bush League Republicans have another amnesty the whole country turns blue, just before it expires.
