Universal daycare may become one of the more costly side effects of the government’s large increase in the minimum wage. As always, it will be the taxpayers who get it in the end
Economics is not an exact science. This is why President Harry Truman asked for a one-armed economist because he was tired of being told “on the one hand…, but on the other hand…” But it is basic Economics 101 that if a business’s costs increase, that business will end up raising its prices.
On Jan. 1, 2018, Ontario’s minimum wage increased from $11.60 an hour to $14 an hour, an increase of 21 percent. And this percentage does not include related increases employers must pay for contribution to their employees’ costs for Employment Insurance and the Canada Pension Plan. Also not included in the increase are other wage hikes employers will have to give their workers who made more than $11.60 an hour at the end of 2017 but less than the now minimum wage. This large increase is a disaster for the province.

It sounds like it could be expensive though.
An 11 year old girl going to school wearing a hijab says she was attacked. She said an "Asian man" tried cut off the headgear with scissors. He then ran off. This a couple of days ago in Toronto. The press et. al. in full throated cry about this deed.
Careful and diligent police investigation found no witnesses. The girl's family finally admitted it was a made up story. A Canadian blog called Small Dead Animals, had over seventy posts saying it likely was a put up job.

$14 an hour in Ontario equates to about $9-something an hour in the States (currency exchange) and worse than that with Canadian inflation on many items.
I was thinking the same thing; who would even get out of bed for the old rate (C$11.60 per hour)? At least their sales tax isn’t as bad as that in Quebec: 13% instead of 15%.
The West is screwed unless they have real men like Trump stand up not just for the people themselves, but TRUTH. Our enemedia, and that of the whole West, has waged war on the truth for decades.
