I recommend an occasional look at the Sultan Knish blog. It is a rich source of materials, links and more from one of the preeminent writers of our age.
FrontPage is a basic resource for conservative thought.

The Goldwater rule is the informal name given to Section 7 in the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Principles of Medical Ethics that states it is unethical for psychiatrists to give a professional opinion about public figures they have not examined[further explanation needed] in person, and from whom they have not obtained consent to discuss their mental health in public statements. It is named after presidential candidate Barry Goldwater.
The issue arose in 1964 when Fact published the article "The Unconscious of a Conservative: A Special Issue on the Mind of Barry Goldwater". The magazine polled psychiatrists about U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater and whether he was fit to be president. The editor, Ralph Ginzburg, was sued for libel in Goldwater v. Ginzburg where Goldwater won $75,000 (approximately $592,000 today) in damages.
Read this. Pretty much exposes the profession for the collection of pseudo-science hacks that they are.
As usual, thanks for continuing the Greenfield pings to ensure we don't miss his wisdom.
TDS is for real................
ethical record. I dont even know what that means in this context..
I used to enjoy reading Thomas Szasz when I was younger. He wrote a library of books on the distortions of Psychiatry...and he was a psychiatrist. He was right about a lot, as we can see in the almost religious beliefs some of these anti-Trump psych folks hold about "sanity".
An especially good blog post by Greenfield. While the Anti-Trump shrinks make total asses of themselves with their unprofessional disparaging of Donald Trump, a non patient of any of them, they actually display an obvious mass case of self-projection. This is not a good recommendation for their professional services in any capacity requiring common sense as well as an ability to help any poor soul who happens to seek their help for navigating real life situations. I wonder how many of these idiots are on a govt payroll, some think tank, or paid by a leftist political outfit, as they obviously have time on their hands and nothing to lose by antics that should shame their claimed professions.
Most people going into psychology are in need of psychological treatment and wind up justifying their derangement as normal
Totalitarian hellholes are known for using psychiatrists to âput awayâ people who are âpolitically inconvenientâ....They’re as much a part of the ‘hellhole scene’ as SS type thugs... Ask any Russian...
