I always get a kick out of the TV shows where someone gets shot, hit by a car, explosion, etc. The others run over and look at him - “Oh my gosh - Frank is dead...” Once in awhile they’ll try for a pulse.
NEVER do they just start CPR. I always thought that was dumb. Even dumber when it happens in real life!
AMEN and AMEN.
I have done real CPR just once in my life. And the person who I thought was dead coughed up some water and started breathing.
One of the most wonderful days of my life.
Kind of like when they get stabbed by a thrown knife and die immediately, or kicked to death with one kick.
For years first aid instructors taught that you couldnt do that because doing so would kill the victim. Now there is "hands only CPR" and they teach that all that other stuff is unnecessary and you should just jump in and start pumping. Turns out you were right all along...
