Oregon Standoff: Ammon Bundy's Plea To President Trump To Pardon The Hammonds

"Why hasn't Trump pardoned the Hammonds?"

"People want to say well maybe President Trump doesn't know but I disagree...."

"We love him and honor him and we want him to relieve us and start with the Hammonds."

Dwight and Steven Hammond were prosecuted as terrorists for lighting a backfire to protect their property in Harney County, Oregon and forced to return to a federal prison in January of 2016 to serve out mandatory five year "terrorism" sentences.

Their imprisonment led Ammon Bundy to launch the Oregon Standoff protest two years ago this month (January 2, 2016).

He told activist and supporter Kelli Stewart in a video posted originally on Facebook late Thursday night that "there is not a more egregious case in decades" when it comes to the Hammonds.

Ammon Bundy said: "That's why we went into the refuge, so we could get enough attention that the Hammonds didn't have to go to prison."

The Hammonds were abused for decades by federal officials leading up to the backfire case.

Blogger Gary Hunt posted a series of articles in 2016 ("Outpost of Freedom") detailing everything that happened.

Ammon Bundy said in his discussion Thursday night that he wants to believe that President Trump is a "man of the people" but things that have happened since he took office like the three Bunkerville trials with the egregious misconduct of prosecutors do not point to that.

Ammon Bundy said in his discussion Thursday night that he wants to believe that President Trump is a "man of the people" but things that have happened since he took office like the three Bunkerville trials with the egregious misconduct of prosecutors do not point to that.

"I want to believe that he is for us" Bundy told Stewart but he hasn't seen any concrete evidence of the president taking a right action in regards to Bunkerville or Oregon.

Ammon Bundy cites the Hammonds in prison and says this:

"It makes me sick that they're still there and why hasn't our President pardoned him, pardoned them, both of them? Why?.....The Hammonds hadn't done anything wrong in the first place....."

"People want to say well maybe President Trump doesn't know but I disagree and there's lots of reasons why...."

And one factual point that I can make is that when we first went into the refuge and Trump was running for president, he was still running for the Republican nomination, he said in one of his speeches and he actually said it multiple times that in one of his more prominent speeches he said that, he referenced what was going on in the West with the ranchers and he alsp referenced the bureaucratic abuse of the Bureau of Land Management...."

"And he said that if I were president that the ranchers would see relief and that has not happened."

"I know he's a busy man....those wicked people up there are keeping him busy just trying to defend himself from their lies. I get that...."

"We love him and honor him and we want him and plead with him to relieve us and start with the Hammonds..."

Bundy says the prosecutors in the Hammonds case including the man nominated by President Trump to be permanent US Atrorney in Oregon, Billy Williams, lied and withheld evidence and decided to use terrorism charges against the Hammonds in the first place.

When you try to start a revolution, you have to accept the fact that when the government catches you, they will make you pay.

This isn’t a matter of whether they were right or wrong—its a description of reality.

They were not walking out of the high school over a misdeed of another student. This was way more serious.

Trump won’t jump the shark - if it turns out pardons are in order, he will issue them. For now, there are too many ancillary questions that need to be answered. Sessions isn’t acting as quickly as many would have him but he is refocusing the DOJ in the proper direction, one tangled web at a time.

Agreed.

Handwritten letter to the President is on the way.

This was wrong on so many levels, especially since everyone from Hillary to Huma to Lois to Eric to James have got off scott free. All of them have committed far more egregious lawbreaking and treason.

Will it get past Kelly if I write it in cursive?

I supported Donald Trump as the Oregon Standoff came to an end began because it was obvious by then that the “Conservative Movement”-Talk Radio-Alternative Media that focus on Washington along with Ted Cruz were shunning the protest in Oregon and the case of the Hammonds.

Trump came off as the outsider. He is the hope we have.

When Martin Luther King had hope in John F. Kennedy that was not fulfilled it fully justified more acts of non violent protest to end racial segregation IMHO.

Cliven Bundy endorsed Donald Trump in a letter from jail posted to a Facebook site with 200,000 followers.

Its time for Trump to act.

Why does the government want the Hammond’s ranch land?

That is the question and it has not been answered and might very well be why Trump hasn’t acted.

It is a very important question.

Dwight, don’t give up the good fight. Please.
