Former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon said there was "zero" chance that President Trump was not aware of a controversial 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between one of his sons and a Russian lawyer, according to a new book.

According to MSNBC, which tweeted an excerpt from Michael Wolff's upcoming book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," Bannon said that it was likely Donald Trump Jr. took lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya and others up to his father's office during the meeting.

“The chance that Don. Jr did not walk these Jumos up to his father’s office on the 26th floor is zero," the excerpt reads.

Bannon is an economic nationalist. You aren’t so you don’t care about him. I do. I will let this play out. If the mainstream GOP gets back on top then all is lost. There will be no change and the Republicans will lose lose lose. We will see only RINOS running in Senate races with the primaries rigged in the establishments favor. F that. The goal is to defeat the GOPe/Uniparty and to MAGA and I don’t care who does it or how it happens.

he probably lost the alabama senate seat on purpose.

Stop. Spreading. Lies.

Bannon didn't lose that seat. What lost that seat was Republican backstabbing against Moore, coupled with the media weapon spreading false accusations about Moore.

Bannon made absolutely no mistakes in backing Roy Moore for the Alabama Senate. It was the correct thing to do.

We need to hear from Bannon about it. Still nothing on Breitbart.

Words of common sense that don't appear to be all that common on Free Republic at the moment.

DO NOT VOTE WITH BANNON IT ONLY GETS YOU PRO-ABORTION LIBERAL DEMOCRATS -- THE SAME GUYS THAT HIJACKED YOUR HEALTH CARE.

Here you are again spreading a lie. Stop. Spreading. Lies.

Backstabbing Republicans like Richard Shelby, Jeff Flake, and Mitch McConnell, cost us that Senate seat. (In collaboration with lying Democrat accusations spread by media) Stop trying to blame it on Bannon, you are just coming across as an ignorant Kook.

Turns out Bannon is just another guy in it for his ego and enrichment. Imagine that.

Let me get this straight, the leftist media is now praising Bannon because he thinks DTJjr might have allowed the Russians, who might have “Dirt” on Hilliary, but they are okay with the FBI hiring a firm that specialized in digging up “Dirt” Trump’s campaign.

Holy hypocracy Batman.

In other words, the persons who wrote, approved and distributed Pres. Trump’s statement are foolish?

Word is that this Wolff book is a pack of lies. Also, MSNBC?

Those might be your words on the subject, but they are certainly not mine. How you got that from my statement is incomprehensible to me.

I was of course referring to the liberal lying @$$hole who wrote the book. (Wolff) He is of course the person who's word we have that Bannon said any such stuff.

Yep, I’d say he’s sorta like the Spiro Agnew of our times. Both men preached great conservative rhetoric from their White House perches, yet we now know that they were little more than old-time con-men, pure and simple.

Trump wrote. “When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party. Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look,”

Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark.

Whoever wrote Pres. Trump’ statement is clearly “running with” the Wolff quotes from Bannon. So either (1) the WH knows Wolff is accurate, or (2) they have “foolishly” been taken in. I can’t see a third explanation.

:-D

suddenly the fake news media loves Steve Bannon.

Folks, sit back and enjoy what our friend Larry calls ‘cheese in the maze’.

Meanwhile, MAGA goes on.

Incredible. Folks read some BS reports of what Bannon and Trump are said to have said and a lynch mob forms.

Healthy skepticism is always appropriate.

Bannon made absolutely no mistakes in backing Roy Moore for the Alabama Senate. It was the correct thing to do.

Of course it was if you wanted to nominate the only candidate that had a chance of losing a Republican seat *in Alabama.* Moore has engaged in pure vanity politics for decades including using a judicial office to do so. Not the ideal public servant. Everything would have been personally about drawing attention to himself and not a conservative agenda.
