Spreading that Christmas cheer.
For this 6 year old boy, he got a BB gun from his grandfather. They took him out to shoot and nailed a shot at the milk carton on the first try.
The look on his face is priceless, have a look.
Sportsmen tradition is thriving well and its great to see this passion is being passed on down from generation to generation. Im sure we were all like this when we first shot our first BB gun. Take a look at this priceless bb gun video here.
I wonder how long before someone posts the obvious, obligatory quote... Waiting...
Well, obviously the kid in the pic should be wearing eye protection. Or something bad could happen.

1955 for me. Started a life-long love affair with shooting.
Jaxter was a little slow...almost five minutes.
I started my sons shooting when they were 6 and 4. The 6 year old was big and a recoil junkie. He went from .22 to .357, to .45, to .44 magnum and then into rifles and shotguns.
The four year old was fragile and kind of frail. I built a stand to rest his arm on so he could hold the Ruger Mk II. He was a great shot. One time we waited while a 60+ guy shot. Then the four year old walked up, announced that the range was hot, loaded a magazine and released the bolt. He knocked down 5 steel plates, double tapped two steel silhouettes (The .22 would only knock them down if you hit them in the forehead twice in quick succession} and then cleared his weapon and announced that the range was clear. The old man just shook his head and walked off.
A couple of years later, we were test firing a single shot 28 gauge shotgun. The guy who ran the range asked if we would wait while another guy test fired his new $3,000 over under. We waited while this guy nailed about 2 out of 3 pigeons. Then he stepped aside. My son fired three times and powdered all three pigeons. Then I fired twice and powdered both of them. The guy with the $3,000 over under started cussing and walked off. The range owner loved it because he had told the guy to practice more and spend less.
BB guns are all made in China. How f’d is that?
I just notices that Ralphie only hit the 2 ring on the target.
Looks like it’s on a farm way out in the country.
excellent
When I was growing up we had some neighbors (country neighbors) who had five red headed boys. They were really a wild bunch although I enjoyed playing over there.
It was almost expected when one of them shot another in the eye with a BB gun. He lost 80% of his vision in that eye.
BB guns are great fun but make sure you wear eye protection.
Well Ya done took the fun outta it now;(
these kids are alittle old for a bbgun. a .22 single shot should more what they are looking for ;)
I got a first “gun” that fired cork plugs at the age of 8. And yes, I almost shot out a kid’s eye with it.
I set up a shooting gallery in the basement. It was abpout 30 feet and backed up with stacks of newspapers.
It took a very short time for those BB guns to become .22’s.
When my mom moved we carried out the newspapers to the bin and lead was all over the place. There must have bee 10,000 rounds in that pile.
You’ll put your eye out, kid!
Is that the Ruger 10/22? I have one, and if so, I want mine decked out like that.
