Which is a better 9mm Carry?
A Glock 43 or a S&W Shield 2.0?
They’re both small, single stack, lightweight, polymer and considered the self-defense premier 9mm for the concealed carrier.
Here are some of their plus features.

I have aftermarket 7 and 8 round mag mods for my Glock 43. The 8 came with a longer spring.

Small world, I just designed a mag extension for the 17/19 mags for a gunsmith buddy of mine who started his own machine shop.

The next one he wants will fit the smaller 43 series. Have the mag sitting in front of me taking dimensions off of as I type.

The one I did a couple of weeks ago for the Gen4 Pmag 5.56 gave 5 extra rounds with the same spring, and it came out beautiful.

The better one is the one that fits your hand and you feel most comfortable shooting. Aim for results— hits on target, carry comfort, ease of handling, and so one.

I shoot more accurate with an MP compact 2.0. It has a better grip for me as well. Slightly larger, but carries well and I’d take it over the glock and the shield as my daily carrier.

Exactly.

Presumably they’re both double/doubles; anybody know the trigger pull on each? Not much of a fan of the double/double. Grew up with the 1911. So, much prefer single/single. But, full disclosure, I do have a couple of double/singles.

Keep the plastic I’ll keep my SIG 239. Won’t have a plastic pistol.

Also look into the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm compact.

This one is in Flat Dark Earth, but you can also get black.

Outstanding compact 9mm. It also comes with 3 grips that you can easily that you can use to tailor your hand size (small, med, large).

It is accurate and reliable.

The FNX .45 cured me of my aversion to “plastic pistols”. It’s a little big for concealed carry, but it’s the most accurate .45 ACP pistol I have ever fired out of the box. And it has a 15 round magazine. And, the most important parts are still made of steel.

PS - I have 2, 1911s and I still love them.

It’s just my aversion to plastic, were I to go back to carrying a duty weapon again it would probably be a Glock. I prefer Sig’s but there’s nothing wrong with a Glock in either the accuracy or the reliability department. I would recommend them as a duty weapon.

Then that would be one of my Browning Hi-Powers.

I still carry daily but it’s a 226 Sig. I could live with a Glock if I had to.

I want consistent grip angle across all my handguns, whether it be semi-auto or revolver.

I am transitioning to the S&W M&P series.

The above is the only answer to the original question, all the other responses are opinions and all good ones by the way.
