Next election cycle, it would take a truly incompetent Republican to lose against Franken. Yes, some Republicans can be tone-deaf and lose even without the 100 mph media headwind.

Franken would be challenged in the Dem primary and lose. He is a dead man walking. The governor of MN has already announced that a woman, the Lt Gov, will be his replacement. She used to work for Planned Parenthood among other things.

Next election cycle is in 2020.. 3 years away. Franken’s groping will be long forgotten by then. Minnesota stays blue in any event.
Tina Smith looks to be an excellent replacement from the Democrat point of view. She's already said she'll run again in the 2018 election so this is a safe Democrat seat.
His replacement is a baby-killer.
