Worse. They sabotaged Moore blatantly. Deep-state GOP and Shelby. “By any means necessary” take down Trump, even if it means losing our country — which it does. The depth of hatred can only be Satanic, as there’s no amount of logic that can explain it.

I am sorry but you are sorely mistaken. Moore was a severely flawed candidate. Alabama is a solidly Republican state, but Moore won his election in 2012 with only 51% of the vote (Romney recieved 60% of the vote). That's a red flag that many Alabama Republicans had serious reservations about Moore long before any imaginary deep-state Satanic cabal sabotaged his Senate campaign.

...many Alabama Republicans had serious reservations about Moore...

Then why did they pick Moore in the primary when they could have chosen Brooks?

And I think that goes to the heart of what the right has to do in 2018.

I’ve said many times, stop voting for superficial stuff. Just because someone can quote the Bible, pose with a gun, or sport a good county accent, doesn’t mean you don’t have to say “can this person win”.

Moore came close, but gravity is a hard thing to break free of.

Now this will hurt the Bannon brand. He won’t be visibly campaigning with anyone next time, and many canidates will avoid him. However it puts Trump in the diver’s seat because his recommendation for the race in hindsight looks smart, reasoned, and headache free, despite reservations by lots on the right.

When Trump says “I want this guy” in 2018, it will now be followed.

“Moore was a severely flawed candidate.”

He was. Most candidates are flawed. But when the other choice will thwart DJT’s conservative SCOTUS appointments, work to weaken (or rescind) the Second Amendment, and further abortion causes, decent people figure out the right thing to do.

“Just because someone can quote the Bible, pose with a gun, or sport a good county accent, doesn’t mean you don’t have to say ‘can this person win’.”

True. I grew up in a Baptist parsonage. It’s like watching sausage being made to see the “underbelly” of a religion, so someone quoting scripture to try to get an advantage would actually make me reconsider him as a candidate. Still….. SCOTUS, guns, abortion.

Shelby and his many-thousand write-in followers should be ashamed.

There are way too many Republicans that will not vote for a candidate that espouses Christian beliefs prominently as part of the campaign. Anti-Christian Republican bigots. That is why the left has almost taken down this country.

If AL is so Republican why did they just vote for a baby killing Democrat? Because they believed unproven claims that Moore was a sexual predator.
