It was sold as a move to protect the environment. At the time the Clintons were worried that Ralph Nader’s presence on the ballot in a few Western states would draw green votes from Clinton in a race that promised to be close after the GOP retook Congress two years earlier.

As I recall they cut a tree to afford a better photo opp.

After this deal, the Clinton crime family figured out that direct donations to the campaign coffers were too open to scrutiny for bribery charges due to the public nature of campaign financing.

So in the Uranium One affair, the money went through a cut out to the Clinton Foundation. Who says a criminal can’t learn a new M.O? These crooks move with the times and learn from mistakes.
