LOL. If Pearl Harbor happened today, there would be "shrines" of teddy bears, candles, and Mylar balloons. People would be singing "Kumbaya". Tee shirts proclaiming "Love Not Hate" would be ubiquitous.
There would be "outreach" to the Japanese. We would be told that we instigated Pearl Harbor through our "racism". We would be told that we have to "understand" them and respect their "culture". A massive Shinto temple would be constructed over top of the bones of the USS Arizona.
We would invite Japs to America and give them private tours of our security apparatus and train stations and shipyards. Schoolchildren would be instructed in Japanese religious rituals, and taught Japanese prayers.
Far fetched? Not today.

Dec 7, 1941! A day soon to be as forgotten as April 19, 1775 if the snowflakes get their way. Somehow it will be the US’ fault for the attack.

Hi, all: On all the Pearl Harbor threads today I'm inviting my FRiends to check out the 50-minute documentary on USS Arizona survivor Lou Conter my son made for his Eagle Scout Project. It really did turn out nicely, and is a very interesting account of December 7 and Mr. Conter’s harrowing adventures as a bomber pilot subsequently. Available ad-free on You Tube.
