Pocahontas was a great and famous American Indian leader who lived in high society in England. She was a deeply respected leader on two continents.
How is referring to someone who claims Indian heritage by comparing them with a great Indian leader a racial slur? Of course it is not. It only becomes a slur when Warrens fraud is mocked. Were she in fact Indian referring to her as Pocahontas would honor her. She indicts herself as a fraud by being offended by Trumps comment.
One of my nephews (probably the only family member who is a liberal in centuries of conservatives) has jumped to the same conclusion that all of the left did, including the woman (tribal member) of the “Indigenous Peoples,” who wrote a letter denouncing President Trump for being such a racist about “Pocahontas.” This woman did NOT understand that the reference was to Elizabeth Warren, and so, folks are getting all edgy.
And my nephew defended the entire thing as the gospel according to the Left. Poor guy. I really do feel sorry for him, and I’m glad his mother isn’t here to see him being so misled.
Warren is a FRAUD.
Thank You, President Trump! _|:-)
