It’s just smart to have a good supply of freeze-dried food packs on hand for emergencies. I prefer “Mountain House” brand myself, not cheap but they are good tasting meals. Just add hot water.

We keep one year of food and three 55 gallon blue plastic water drums at all times. Ya never know. :-)

“Jackson is the 42-year-old chief executive officer of Wise Co., a leading brand in survival foods”

I’m not sure I’d consider POTATO CHIPS as a survival food, but then I usually have other choices.

I have a bug-out bag that has a week's worth of food, supplies, and warm clothing.

For long-term (If there's a huge snowstorm like in 1978, for example) I have 3 totes of canned food. 1 tote of medical equipment. A 90-day supply of My Patriot Supply emergency food. And a tote of instant coffee, liquor, & beer. And a dozen gallons of drinking water.

Not to mention my guns.

Government and politicians aren't going to protect you. Now, IMHO, is an excellent time to be prepared. People think that survivalists and preppers are these beady-eyed, buck-tooth hillbillies holding "The End is Near" signs. But nothing could be further from the truth.

You can create a great Bug-out bag for just $100, and get it at the Dollar Store.
