You've heard all of the knee jerk reactions, now we've got a few interesting points you probably haven't seen yet. And here is a subtly optimistic look at what went wrong but the Republicans can correct.

I'm also going to predict one pitfall that Democrats will fall into as a result of the Virginia elections - they will take the lack of consequence from the over the top ads that they ran as a green light that they're now clear to drop the mask and be honest about how much they hate the half of the country that didn't vote as we were told. 2018 could easily become the "Basket of Deplorables 2.0" election.
