This whole rot reeks and fumesif a last-ditch Hail Mary by the deep state. Hope Moore winds up owning WaPo for soliciting lying witnesses against him.
Looks to me like Ryan and McConnell's plan is to purposely self-destruct the Republican majorities completely. They'd rather be accomplices to a rat led Congress than have to lead it in a Republican, much less conservative, direction. If when that happens, get ready for Impeachment.
