SAINTS CRITICIZE NAVY VETERAN WHO SUPPORTS ANTHEM
Canada Free Press ^ | 11/04/17 | Jeff Crouere

Posted on 11/04/2017 11:09:38 AM PDT by Sean_Anthony

Retired U.S. Navy Commander John Wells

The New Orleans Saints have a wonderful 50-year relationship with long suffering fans that have supported the team through mostly losing seasons. Unfortunately, the team is putting that relationship in jeopardy with their asinine position on the National Anthem controversy.

For some unknown reason, the team’s management and coaching staff have decided to support the right of disgruntled players to protest alleged social injustice during the National Anthem. In week 3 of the season, ten players sat for the Star-Spangled Banner and since that time multiple players have been kneeling prior to the anthem being played.

This is nothing more than self-affliction. It is amazing what the NFL is doing to ITSELF. I’m not watching any of the games, not because of boycotting, I just sort of lost interest, can’t put my finger on it. I wonder if others have just sort of lost interest also. If so, it’s not political, it’s a shift in how we spend free time.

Hmmmm. Who to support? A veteran who served his country or professional football players?

Gee, this is a tough one.

The nfl owners and players continue to expose their general disdain for patriotism and for patriots. The he** with them...and their sponsors .

Wear a Jersey and toss footballs, or wear a real uniform, putting your life on the line, and toss grenades.

Amongst the biggest p**ss**s I've met are football players. Why anyone thinks this sport, full of overweight, gut hanging over their belt, non-athletes is manly is beyond me.

Where would these spoiled NFL players and executives be without veterans? Most of them never braved bullets and bombs for their country. How ungrateful can you be?

I'm against anybody that is against America. It's really very simple.

I will say this. I thought Drew Brees was better than this. I guess his need to be down with the brothers overrode his common sense. Dumbass.

Not to mention that this whole problem with the cops is based on bull sh#t. The statistics don’t bear out a war on black youth but a war on cops.

Don’t forget their propensity to attach women’s fake hair to their nap so they can look like the predator. What is up with THAT?

I can put fingers on boring games and far too many commercials to start with.

The NFL was just using the veteran as a marketing prop.

Screw the NFL!
