How did the Korean War, the Vietnam war, the invasion of Grenada, or the conflicts in the Middle East protect or advance US economic hegemony?
The German Army marches for the Fatherland.
The French Army marches for Glory.
The British Army marches for the Queen.
The American Army marches for Souvenirs.
How come you don’t post any more of Ruby’s stuff?
Is it because she is a retarded kookwad with medals and ribbons?
Typical Marxist rubbish.
In fact, there's a long list of "real reasons" which certainly include the economic consequences.
But Americans won't fight & die for economics alone so there must also be higher purposes such as world peace, political freedom, private enterprise & justice.
And given the rotten state of much of humanity (Saddam Hussein comes to mind) such higher purposes are usually not hard to find.
Congress hasn’t declared War since WWII.
Even if this ridiculous charge is true, so what? Every nation, every tribe, every clan, every family on earth fights for its survival. In terms of nations, that means fighting for economic advantage, or "hegemony" as the marxists like to say.
Of course, the charge isn't true to begin with ...
People who use the word “hegemony” wish they had control over one.
Ridiculous. Here is why oil is traded in dollars.
And then there’s the Bretton Woods Conference.

One word: Petrodollar
We go to war to protect the petrodollar.
