Take a look at the ideal Glocks for concealed carry and personal defense.
These are some of the most prestigious and popular self- and home defense weapons made by one of the worlds leaders in master weapon engineering and production, Glock.
Glock has been one of the leaders in self-defense and tactical weapons for years with their top notch designs and perfection in the art of producing some of the worlds leading firearms. So the question remains, are you carrying the right weapon for your protection?
Where does a person draw the line that tells them that they are well protected by the weapon they have chosen to keep themselves and their families safe?
Glock 30S
With a standard magazine load of ten rounds, this compact pistol packs a heavy punch firing a deadly .45 caliber rounds with maximum knockdown power and effectiveness.
Glock 19 Gen4
The new recoil spring assembly offered with this weapon makes the system able to last longer in the most trying conditions, ultimately adding a longer lifespan to the spring assembly.
Glock 23
Firing a standard .40 caliber round and having a fully loaded magazine at a whopping 13 rounds, this little piece of defense is what many would consider perfect for the concealed self-defense weapon category. See the rest and full description of the top 5 Glocks for personal defense here.
I like all guns and I’m really not out to bash one over the other but it has been my experience (and the experience of many others) that the plastic guns hold up to abuse pretty well. My plastic Glock 21 has handled a steady diet of just below max .460 Rowland loads and my Glock 20 and 29 handle just below max 10mm no problem. These are some seriously high pressure cartridges.
Glocks are the ugliest hand gun ever made.
I’ve got the P320 w RX and have no intention of sending back for the lame recall.
I did do the trigger work on it to make it comparable to my P220 SAO Carry.
Gotta love that Red Dot.
Trained enough to shoot well with those sweet suppressor height sights.
“what does that make the 1911?”
Proven.
“was severely depressed after the boating accident when I lost all of my firearms.”
That’s too bad. The men will be standing tall with their firearms in hand. I guess you can go fill in a coloring book with the children.
I absolutely love my G19 and G20....
I love 1911s btw. They are an excellent weapon but I always find myself drawn to the double stack magazine despite the 1911’s superior ergonomics. It’s a tradeoff I make but I think I need a new 1911. a kimber or a sig perhaps.
for later
The Glock 20 is just a handful of warm fuzzy, reassuring comfort. It’s the next best thing to carrying a rifle imo.
If you’re half as wise as you are brave, you won’t be doing anything of the sort when they’re standing on your porch holding a manifesto.
I have multiple Kimbers. The Ultra Carry is damned accurate and easy to shoot, not to mention great for concealed carry.
“when theyre standing on your porch holding a manifesto.”
They won’t get that far. A manifesto is just a childish fantasy.
.
A manifesto?
What caliber, and who makes them?
.
This is one of my my Glocks. I wouldn't call it ugly.
As a 1911 fan, I can relate to both sides. My first line of defense is my 1911. When I raise it, it’s already on target naturally. I can shoot faster with the 1922 than with anything else. My first eight shots will be .45, and they will hit.
In the event that I need more shots than eight, I am switching to my Glock. I have 33 rounds of 9 mm, not counting spare magazines. I need an extra fraction of a second to aim, but if I run out of ammo again, I’m probably facing a zombie apocalypse. It’s hard to argue with that capacity. I still shoot faster and more accurately with the 1911 (thanks, Gunny!), but the Glock is more than good enough and will never run dry.
Sure. Maybe you can loan me one of yours.
