Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group will hire 500 employees in Kansas, according to a KCUR 89.3 report.
Approximately 150 of the jobs will be filled at the payer's pharmacy benefit management services arm, OptumRx.
Other hires include 47 nurses and 96 customer service representatives, according to the report. Openings for pharmacy technicians, procurement personnel, marketing and IT support will also be added.
Must be expecting some cash heading their way..
Mixed feelings when I hear that a company related to so-called ‘healthcare’ is hiring/expanding.
Unless and until 0care is fully repealed, the industry will always be tainted, imo.
They might want to hold off until after the Medicare Advantage enrollment period ends.
Many [including ME] are dropping them because they dropped our doctors and are threatening to drop our hospitals from their network. Most of northwest Arkansas has been impacted as those providers are now out-of-network.
I have already changed my 2018 Medicare Advantage provider to another company.
United Healthcare can take a flying leap ...
I hope OptumRX gets better people, their service sucks.
Thank you. United has been hounding me to switch to OptumRx, but my Rx changes frequently enough I have resisted so far. Knowing this, I will ignore them.
