A government report has been released that looks at how various communities have integrated. It will be of little surprise to anyone that Pakistani women who do not speak English have completely failed to integrate and, in fact, live in an extremely isolated environment.
Quite why people close to the government are surprised by this is baffling. Could it be that they live in secluded communities away from the hustle and bustle of the average Brit?
It is the very people who commissioned the study that are to blame for the lack of integration. They had an idea of multi-cultural utopia, where all cultures are equal…what they go were ghettoes, division, and No Go zones. Yet these same people will be the ones tasked with trying to fix it.

Pakistani women don’t integrate becsuse Pakistani men don’t allow them to.
Actually, this would be a perfect excuse to ‘repatriate’ refugees or immigrants. Require that the entire family take courses in the language of their new country. In one year test them for their ability. If any family member fails the test the lot of them go home.
We had Pakis buy the house next door to us 25 years ago. Nasty sums a itches. After 4 years I couldn’t take it anymore, sold the house, and moved. Never again.
Why?
Within 4 years the house turned over 3 times within the same family. Started out a man, his wife, and 2 kids. They were tolerable. Then after awhile it was 2 guys, then 4 guys, then they moved in an old woman and a young woman. They never used the ac (we have 114 degree days) so the smell of their cooking would run us out of our back yard. They let all the grass die, it turned into a dirt lot, so they could drive their ice cream trucks into the back yard. The old woman would come out yelling at me if my daughter and her friend got their dirt wet while washing my car. I sprayed the old hag down one time when she came into my yard screaming at me in some horrid language about it. The neighbor across the street got quite a kick out of that. Lol. The last straw was when the 4 men decided they didn’t need to pee in the bathrooms anymore and would walk out the front door and pee on the stucco then turn around and walk back in.
Nasty.

Hey, get with it! We are supposed to appreciate what diversity and multiculturalism ADD to our culture and neighborhood. You should have started wearing a turban and stopped showering to get along...maybe crapping in the street too.

I'd say your one-sentence report is more accurate than their multi-million dollar report.
Call the city health dept, the various licensing depts, the INS and the drug task force.
Of course, be prepared to have your lives turned upside down by your fellow citizens.

Hell, I’m white, but I had a hard time integrating when I went to college in the North.
We sold the house and moved 20 years ago. Little late for all that.
In that area of the world, which includes Afghanistan, most women are expected to remain cloistered at home so male non-relatives can’t see them. It’s how they live.
