Sheriff is seriously scared for his job, he’s clearly blowing this investigation. The LV police are great at rousting casino cheats and terrible at doing anything else. I was there last year just to get gas and couldn’t believe the state of that place. It’s overrun with homeless, junkies, and shysters of all kinds.
When I travel on I-15 through that area, I manage my fuel consumption so that I don’t have to even stop off the interstate there. Last time, I stopped off for gas and the on-ramp was closed. I had to drive several miles through gangland to get back on the interstate. It was like a bad movie that I couldn’t turn off. If I had known that it was going to be that scary, I would’ve gotten onto the interstate heading in the opposite direction, backtracked to the last exit, and turned around again there (or used one of those cop-turnarounds that they don’t want you to use). Vegas is horrible.
Officially, there are 632,000 residents in the city, There are on average around 110,000 visitors in the city each day. I would take a guess on homelessness, junkies and shysters being around 15,000 around the city.
“Sheriff is seriously scared for his job,”
I feel pretty bad for this sheriff. I get the feeling that he’s being “managed” by people and/or entities much more powerful than he is, and he’s maximum pissed. Just my read...

Those unlucky ones were the big losers from the week before.
They will get a one way bus ticket and $20 to LA to clear the streets for the next week of big losers!
Off topic but it really is like that everywhere, pretty much. We tend to overlook it when in our everyday surroundings because we have pretty much insulated ourselves.
Whenever I leave home anymore, I have been in Colorado all week, I am shocked at the state of things and the people when I stop to get gas, quick food while driving, etc.
