I’m a Latin (Italian) but many people come up to me speaking Spanish because they think I am a Mestizo so I understand completely.
It really is quite irritating. Pity I can’t express my white rage publicly. LOL
They’re definitely guilty of cultural appropriation.
Nothing makes me laugh more than some La Raza Aztec Queen announcing that they are “Latin”. The confusion is heavy out there. Gives me a headache.
